HOLISTIC THERAPIES
Holistic therapies aim to treat all areas of an individual’s life; on an emotional, mental, spiritual and physical level. The focus is to treat the person as a whole, in particular the energy flowing through the body in order to bring it back into harmony.
Holistic therapies can work safely alongside conventional medicine, they are complementary not alternative to allopathic medicine.
There are no limits to the range of diseases and disorders that can be treated in a holistic way, as the principle of holistic healing is to balance the body, mind, spirit, and emotions so that the person's whole being functions smoothly. When an individual seeks holistic treatment for a particular illness or condition, other health problems may improve without direct treatment, due to improvement in the performance of the immune system, which is one of the goals of holistic medicine.
I offer the following treatments from my clinic at Sole & Beauty in Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire:-
Pregnancy Massage ~ £24 - £32 dependant on treatment time

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:-
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER A TREATMENT?
Most people feel very relaxed and calm after a treatment, although you may feel tired or lethargic for a while. You will be given some time to relax, discuss your treatment and have a drink of water before leaving. As a treatment can be deeply relaxing it is important to ensure that you feel alert before driving.
WHAT IS A "HEALING CRISIS"?
Occasionally some people may experience a healing reaction such as headache, cold or flu-like symptoms, these symptoms are normally of short duration and are a natural part of the process. The symptoms are felt because of the release of toxins in the body and are known as the 'Healing Crisis' i.e. the symptoms appear worse before they get better. The symptoms can be helped by drinking plenty of water following treatment and for the rest of the day.
If you are concerned about a reaction to a treatment talk to your practitioner.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This varies from person to person. In general most problems will take time to heal - healing with holistic therapies is a process rather than an event. Acute problems generally heal faster than chronic ones.
If your problem is of long standing you may require more frequent treatments or treatments over a longer period of time, I will be happy to discuss this with you, however you should feel free to make the decision about how many treatments or which type of treatment you wish to receive.
WHAT INFORMATION WILL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ME?
Your first treatment will include an initial consultation during which you will be asked about your medical history. Anything discussed during a consultation and any notes taken will be kept strictly confidential. It is important to inform me of any conditions for which you are currently being treated by your GP, Consultant or other medical professional. If you have any symptoms which may be contra-indicated, where treatment may need to be adapted, I may ask you to check with your GP prior to treatment commencing.
At subsequent treatments I will discuss with you how you are progressing.
CAN I HAVE HOLISTIC THERAPIES IF I AM PREGNANT?
Yes provided you are in good health with no complications, with the exception of the Theragem which is advised not to be used during pregnancy.
You should wait until after the first trimester (12 weeks) and check with your midwife or GP that they know of no reason why you shouldn't have a treatment.
It is essential that you let me know if you are pregnant so that the treatment can be adapted appropriately.
